Trimester 3 of MBA

This is an introductory course for Finance. It is designed to provide learners with an appreciation of Finance as an input to decision-making. The course will equip them with key financial concepts that guide decision-making. Given the most important objective of a Firm, i.e., to maximize its value, the course will discuss the three key aspects that contribute to this and focus on how managers make relevant decisions in the financial management of a Firm. Irrespective of one’s area of future specialization, business management students must develop a strong foundation in fundamental conceptual frameworks in Finance and their applications across a wide range of business contexts to succeed in their future career. This foundational course has been designed to impart the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to equip MBA students to make more effective real-world financial decisions.
